Waverley City Archers Inc. (WCA), in consultation with sporting club strategic planning and development facilitator ARWK Management Pty Ltd (Club Builder), is currently implementing a five-point Strategic Plan for the club that aligns with our vision, mission and overarching objectives to contribute to the future growth of archery, increase youth participation in the sport, and maximise member retention and satisfaction.
POINT 1: PROGRAMS & PATHWAYS
WCA will provide a range of development pathways with a focus on strategies to maximise entry level participation and to improve attraction and retention of participants, coaches, officials and administrative talent to build a foundation for the future success of our club.
POINT 2: COMMUNICATION & ENGAGEMENT
WCA will identify and develop opportunities and channels to communicate often and engage deeply with our membership, stakeholders and the general community.
POINT 3: FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT
WCA will work with club members, the local council, and other government stakeholders and funding contributors to plan and implement staged facility establishment and upgrades to meet the needs of the club and provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for the WCA community.
POINT 4: STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS
WCA will focus on building key relationships within the community to strengthen our strategic positioning and growth opportunities.
POINT 5: WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT
WCA will undertake and support effective workforce management including streamlining committee structure, roles and responsibilities, volunteer management and succession planning.
The WCA Strategic Plan was submitted to the City of Monash in August 2023.
